How do I build a tower?

Tap an empty square beside the path and start typing. Letters cost Ink; once they spell a real word, it becomes a tower. Tap the cursor square again to switch between typing across and typing down. You can replay the tutorial any time from Settings → Replay tutorial on the book screen.

Why wasn't my word accepted?

Lexi-Defense knows over 700,000 English words, but proper nouns (names and places), abbreviations, prefixes and suffixes, and offensive words are left out on purpose. Each word can only become one tower per level. If you think a real word is missing, email us.

How do upgrades work?

Tap a tower to open its inspector. A yellow arrow on a tower means you can afford its next upgrade. Pick a path (Focused, Rapid, or Resonant) and choose which enemy it targets.

What do the special tiles do?

Specials are like bonus squares: place one on a square, then spell a word through it and that word's tower gains the effect. Select a special on the keyboard to see what it does. The 2× Score tile doubles score only, not damage.

I left mid-level. Is my run lost?

No. Runs are saved at the end of every wave and when you leave the app, and resume at the start of the wave you were on. Daily Challenge runs are one attempt only and aren't saved.

Can I move my progress to a new phone?

Not yet. Progress is stored only on your device, so uninstalling the app or switching phones starts fresh.

How do I turn off analytics?

Open Settings → Privacy and switch off Share usage stats. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I turn off sound or music?

Open Settings; Sound Effects and Music have separate switches.
