How it works

The ancient library is under attack, and only words can stop the invasion.

Spell a word

Tap a square beside the path and type. Each letter costs Ink, and rare letters like X, Q and Z cost more.

It becomes a tower

Every real word turns into a tower that fires on the creatures walking the path. Shorter words hidden inside it make it stronger.

Cross words for synergy

Words that share letters link up and boost each other's damage, fire rate and range, so plan your board like a crossword.

Does Lexi-Defense need an internet connection?

No. The full dictionary ships inside the app, and every level, Endless mode, and the Daily Challenge play offline.

Which words count?

Over 700,000 real English words sourced from Wiktionary, including slang and modern terms. Proper nouns, abbreviations, and offensive words are filtered out.

Are there ads or an account?

No ads and no account. The game collects only anonymous usage statistics, which you can switch off in Settings.

Which devices are supported?

Android phones and iPhones running iOS 15 or later. The game is designed for portrait play on phones.
