Privacy Policy

Effective September 30, 2026

This policy explains what the Lexi-Defense app for Android and iOS ("Lexi-Defense" or "the app"), made by Gelotto ("we," "us"), collects and why. The short version: the game plays offline, has no accounts and no ads, and sends only anonymous usage statistics that you can switch off.

Turn analytics off any time: open Settings → Privacy in the app and switch off Share usage stats. Collection stops immediately.

1. What we collect

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is played so we can balance levels and fix problems. It collects:

2. What we don't collect

The words you spell, or any other text you enter.
Your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location.
Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, advertising ID for ads on Android). The game shows no ads and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

There are no accounts, so nothing we collect is linked to your identity. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone other than Google acting as our analytics provider.

3. Data stored on your device

Your game progress (level stars, scores, achievements, your Lexicon of spelled words, Archive upgrades, settings, and any run in progress) is saved only on your device, in the app's private storage. It never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

4. Google Analytics for Firebase

Analytics data is processed by Google LLC on our behalf, and event-level data is kept for no more than 14 months. You can read how Google handles it in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

5. Your choices and rights

Opt out: switch off Settings → Privacy → Share usage stats. Your choice is remembered.
Reset: uninstalling and reinstalling the app generates a new app-instance identifier.
Access or deletion: because we don't know who you are, we usually can't link analytics data to you. If you live somewhere that gives you rights over personal data (such as the EU, UK, or California), email us and we'll help as far as we can.

6. Permissions

The app requests no special permissions: no location, contacts, camera, or microphone. It uses network access only to send the anonymous statistics above; the game itself never needs a connection.

7. Children

Lexi-Defense collects no information that identifies anyone, of any age. The bundled dictionary is filtered to remove offensive words.

8. Changes

If we change what the app collects, we'll update this page with a new effective date before the change ships, and note it in the app's release notes.
